Unsure about whether to visit or exhibit at TFF? Read our most frequently asked questions and answers below:
Q. Is this a stand alone event and how many visitors are expected to attend?
TFF will be running alongside Silicone Expo as a co-located event. Registrations and entrances will be the same and visitors can attend both events on the same pass. We would be expecting 3,000+ visitors.
Q. If we were to exhibit what types of attendees would we expect to see?
TFF aims to attract visitors from the high end, high yield and emerging applications sectors, such as: Electronics and semiconductors, flat panel displays, renewable energies, automotive, tablets and smartphones.
Q. I usually attend large multi-disciplined events where there might be some tape and functional film manufacturers or chemical suppliers. Why should I attend the Tape & Functional Film Expo?
TFF Expo will be a one stop shop for the tape and functional film industries thus being far more focused and centered around this sector, with a strong focus towards high yield and emerging application sectors. Spend more time establishing quality connections as opposed to trying to find your targeted company among hundreds of companies not relevant.
Q. I work within research and development for a company specialising in solar panel manufacturing. Will there be people present I can talk to about functional film developments and trends in this sector?
Indeed there will be. Not only will a number of exhibiting companies specialise in this field but there will be a conference offering thought leadership discussions on Tape & Functional Film applications (attendance to this is also free to attend).
Q. Our company is a tier one supplier to a number of end use sectors. Shall we exhibit or visit?
Both. A booth would be sensible so that you can meet representatives of companies you are not currently working with plus being able to network and solidify existing relationships. Your procurement and R&D teams can then also walk the show to source new materials, look at new machines and learn at the conference sessions
Q. We wish to attend but are a local small company and do not have a large budget. Will it be expensive?
No. Entry to both the exhibition hall and conference tracks will be kept very low with early bird releases staggered throughout the year.
Q. We need to source a new die cutting machine. Will there be companies present I can meet?
Yes. There will be companies present with machines (winders, splicers, stamping, die-cutting, extrusion etc) plus tools, knives and parts suppliers. To get a better understanding of the equipment specifications, we are also running live product demonstrations during the course of the event.
Q. I have worked for 25 years within the Tape & Functional Film industries and can share a lot of useful information to others. Will I be able to be part of the conference?
Yes, we want you. Our production team will be undertaking research calls to then set the conference agendas. You would be able to discuss subjects and content then with a view to being a speaker.
Q. Our company is a polymer supplier. Is this show good for me?
Yes! As a raw material supplier (whether polyolefin, polypropylene, BOPP) you would be looking to meet the manufacturers- they will not only be exhibiting but also sending their engineers and buying teams to source new materials.
Q. I work for a company that tests a full range of materials including tape/functional films. Will I meet the right people?
100%! Not only will you be exhibiting within a commercial trade show marketplace alongside the world's leading Tape & Functional Film manufacturers who are excited to meet new suppliers to continue to be innovative and competitive, you will have a strong commercial and corporate profile in front of the manufacturers walking the hall.
Q. I am a Materials Engineer working in the Automotive industry. Will I find the materials I need?
Absolutely! TFF Expo will give you the time to meet new suppliers during a showcase event that will give you the opportunity to adopt all kinds of new tapes and/or films for your application needs.
Q. My company traditionally services the packaging but are looking to diversify into other markets. Is this the right event for me to gain important insight?
Without a doubt! Come and meet industry experts in the tape and film industries and visit the 2-track conferences to learn about manufacturing, applications and current and emerging markets.
Q. My company manufactures silicone release liners. Should I exhibit?
Book your booth today! Given the extensive use of release liners within the tape sector this is the show for you. Furthermore, our co-located event ‘Silicone Expo’ is running alongside TFF thus given you even more exposure- the perfect event for your company maybe?
Q. My company manufacturers a diverse range of tapes for multiple end user groups. How would I represent that in my booth?
Good question! If you are a supplier to plethora of end use industries, have all of those divisions, products and associated teams represented on your booth.
Q. My company buys the finished products and sell directly to the high street. Can I exhibit?
No! TFF Expo is a B2B not a B2C event. You are a buyer of the products so make sure you and your team visit the events and meet all of the suppliers who can improve your products for you customers.
Q. I am an editor for a publication run by a large association that feature tape/functional films heavily. How can I work with TFF Expo?
We want to work with you! TFF Expo has the focus to be engrossed in the industry and to support the tape and functional film communities the best we can. Call us, email us, or send us a message on LinkedIn, we will get right back to you.
